Resources for Children, Youth, and their Families Experiencing Housing Instability & Homelessness
We work to reduce and remove educational barriers for youth experiencing homelessness in the East Lycoming School District. If you’re a student living in emergency housing, displaced from your housing, a runaway, or a parent or guardian of a student lacking housing, or someone working with students experiencing homelessness and their families, we are here to help you obtain any assistance you might be eligible for, including education resources, automatically qualify for free meals (breakfast and lunch), transportation help, and assistance to maintain your educational program.
For assistance with enrollment or maintaining school placement while homeless, call the district office and ask for Dr. Mark Stamm, Homeless Liaison at 570-584-2131
Transportation Assistance570-584-2131 Transportation assistance is available for youth experiencing homelessness. Please review the options and procedures below for the situation that best supports your needs. In-District TransportationYouth experiencing homelessness are eligible for transportation along regular district routes AND may also be eligible for special transportation to shelters, other places of temporary residence, or a connection location with another source of transportation.
